Soup Stock Tokyo - Lady M

It's been a long time since I blogged.

Returning to Singapore made me realise how much Singapore has developed throughout the years. I would say the recent most commendable change is its food/entertainment. I did find this aspect lacking very much which partially spurred my decision to move to Hong Kong in the future.

A great catch up with a great friend who always stood by me throughout the years. We decided to head over to dine at Somerset.

Dinner:
Soup Stock Tokyo at Somerset 313

Saba Minestrone Soup with Brown Rice and Iced Tea

$10.80 for a soup and rice set, with an additional $1 for a drink. What a deal! I hate the fact that restaurants list their prices without gst or other miscellaneous charges, leaving me bewildered and my wallet poorer. This shop doesn't, making it all worth. Was kinda expecting a huge chunk of saba in the soup, but it was mostly minced and blended within the soup. Nonetheless I am a huge fan of soups and I really liked it! Can't wait to try the Hokkaido crab bisque soup next.

Dessert:
Lady M at Orchard Central

Lady M Cakes Selection

Proceeded for dessert at Lady M subsequently, and was expecting the crepe cakes to be sold out by the time we get there. Everyone is probably queuing for Llao llao to be interested in cakes. That queue seemingly looked like it consisted of 30 to 40 people? I reckon when a nitrogen ice cream shop opens its first outlet in Singapore, that queue will be dismissed.

Lady M Signature Mille Crepes

The interior of Lady M was exceedingly posh and clean, which really enticed me to dine-in at the store. However, we had takeaway to avoid the 10-person queue as there were decent seating at the basement of Orchard Central. As we were about to savour it, we realised we made the wrong order for the signature mille crepes instead of the green tea mille crepes. Pity, but we were not disappointed at all! It did taste like crepes plus creme, but the combination was perfect. Will definitely be heading there again soon to try the green tea mille crepes!
